Profile:
An accomplished materials engineer and geomaterials specialist with 15 years of experience providing consultancy and investigation services for construction projects involving modern and historic construction materials including building stone, aggregates, concrete, mortars, plasters, soils, bituminous mixtures, ceramics, metals and paints.  Expertise in a wide range of asset engineering practices involving materials technology, forensic engineering, service life prediction and asset management planning.  Projects undertaken range from pre-construction advice, quality control during construction, through to condition surveys of existing structures, failure investigation and expert witness services.  Has worked throughout the UK, in the UAE and Qatar and has provided consultancy for projects worldwide. 

Has authored and co-authored a number of published book chapters, journal papers and technical articles.  Participates in technical commitees and regularly gives presentations on the subject of construction materials engineering to a variety of audiences.
